About the book
I wrote this book to help my clients.
They were looking for a resource that provided both clear theory and practical tools to apply. But most of the current published books are either aspirational books on amazing existing leaders or academic tomes telling you all about the research on leadership.
I wanted something that sat in the middle; that provided the theory in an accessible manner but that also showed how to apply the theory in an every day sense.
This is a book for new and aspiring leaders AND for those that have been in the role for some time but want a fresh approach and to try some new tools.
The book is intended to be an easy read. Each chapter has been written so that it can be read in short bursts.
Each chapter provides:
- an overview of the topic;
- a clear, concise and simple explanation of any theory (no academic mumble jumble);
- why this particular tool or theory matters;
- an opportunity to apply it to your life and your circumstances;
- links to research and well established thought leaders;
- interviews with key leaders in Australia; and
- resources that you can access once you’ve finished reading the book.
